In the early 70's, Mr. Zog was busy shaping surfboards in a shop in Goleta, California. It just happened that a Chemist named Nate Skinner was working in the building next to him. Zog and Nate came into contact with each other and started a project to make the best, unique and most hig-performance surfwax ever!

In the following year, Nate has developed a number of wax prototypes, which Zog has tested and evaluated under all conditions and surf conditions. Eventually they came up with a formula that surprised everyone. This eventually became the Sex Wax formula.

The name Sex Wax originated because Zog asked his friend and artist Hank Pitcher to design a label for his new surf wax. Hank was not afraid of controversy and came up with the sex wax logo and design. Hank thought the name Sex wax sounded good. Zog also thought it was cool what the name attracted attention, was crazy. In this way the name Sex Wax came into being.

Mr. Zog soon began selling the surfwax to almost all surf shops on the coast of America. With his Ford pickup truck he drove along the coast and sold his first batch of surfwax. The retailers especially liked the catchy name at the beginning. Types of Sex Wax Surf Wax

For every water temperature you need a different wax for the best grip. There is Sex wax for extra cold water (4 degrees and less) for our North Sea, the Sex Wax for a cold sea (9 to 20 degrees) can also be used in the North Sea. During very hot summers you could even use the Cool or moderately cold Sex Wax in the Netherlands. The warm and Tropical Sex wax will not be needed in the Netherlands, but it is useful if you are traveling to a sunny destination.
